New Boot...

Hey Dolls, I really really want some new boots, and i found 2 really nice pairs on Alloy.com and I can't decided which one to get. I like them both and they both are on sale. The old Erika would just get them both, but the new frugal Erika is say choose... What to do...

The KEY BOOT, is leather with silver studds

The MARLANE BOOT, is suede and they are the ones I saw first, so I am leaning towards them, but I really like the other pair too...

Caleb's coming next week so I would like to have them ordered ASAP!!!

Found a New Website...

My bff Star just told me about it last night. I only looked at the shoes, but it has clothes too, its www.gojane.com. They have some cute styles for cheap! I think the most expensive pair I saw was like $40(red thigh high boots). You cant beat that at all. They have all kinds of shoes, but I fell in love with the boots..

p.s. when buy inexpensive shoes there is a good chance they will hurt you feet. NEVER buy cheap shoes and wear them out on the same day. Break them in. Do dishes or clean or just wear them around the house first, because your feet will hate and have you ever seen a girl in the club walking like her feet hurt? NOT a good look!!

Fall Fashion 101...Staples

Hey Dolls! So I am finally getting around to doing another fall fashion post. I know I have been slacking in the fashion department, but there is just so much on hair that I want to get thru, I sometimes forget. To make up for it this next post will be my list of staple products to have for fall. Things you can buy to update your current wardrobe, but are also things be carried over into other seasons. I think the mistake a lot of people make, myself included, is going out and buying everything a magazine says is so hot right now, then the next year it’s all unwearable. So here are 5 things that you can add to your wardrobe now, and still get use from them in the upcoming seasons.

Number one on my list would be a great pair of black skinny jeans. Although skinny jeans have been a big trend the past few years I think that they are here to stay. What is so great about them is despite their name, you don’t have to be skinny to wear them. I know this summer we saw skinny’s in every color of the rainbow, but for fall please tone it down and stick with a nice basic black pair. Try it with a basic white tee, an oversized cardigan, a big belt, and as much jewelry that you can fit around your arms and neck!

Number two on my list is the boyfriend blazer. I love love love a blazer, and I love that these have a more menswear look about them, but are still very feminine. It is also another thing that will look great on most every body type. The “boyfriend” look is really hot right now, so this should be an easy find, the trick is finding a great classic one that, will take you from this season into the next. You want to look for one that is a solid color. This means NO PLAID, NO STRIPES, NO TACKY TATTOO DESIGN! I am on the hunt for a great grey blazer, but black, navy, and even white or pink or any color really, just keep it monochromatic. You can trend it up on your own with scarves, or broaches or even a Team Edward button, just make sure whatever you add to it can be removed.

Up next on the list is a great boot. I know this is self explanatory, so I won’t say much more than boots are something you should invest in. Not saying that you have to spend an arm an a leg on a great pair of boots, but i think you should buy some that will last you thru the years. The problem I have when I get $30 boots from payless, they almost always break, hurt my feet to the point that I don’t want to wear them, so get scratched up to easily. You can find great quality boots at an affordable price; you just have to know where to look. Try online or around Christmas you are almost guaranteed to find a great deal. Last year I bought a great pair of Steve Madden boots for like 80 bucks. They where originally a hundred and something, and they still look as great as they did when I bought them, maybe even better. Most importantly they don't hurt my feet!

Number four is a great piece of faux fur. I love fur, but I can’t afford real fur prices so I have to stick with the fake stuff. Fur is always in style, but this season it is making its way into mainstream, with the best quality faux fur pieces I have ever seen! Honestly I was at H&M the other day, and they had a really nice jacket for $60, and a vest for around 30 I think, and even a nice little stole, which I didn’t look at the price, but I’m sure it was probably between $20-30. The trick with this trend though is finding the right piece because I have seen a few faux furs that look like road kill. Use your best judgment before buying and you will be fabulous.

Finally we come to the end of the road. The last item on my list of fall staples is drum roll please… CONFIDENCE! We are all beautiful. Fashion is fun. Never follow anyone’s rules about fashion but your own. I wear white after Labor Day, and I think if done right black and brown looks AMAZING together, my clothes don’t always match, but I ALWAYS look fly. Fashion is what you make it, so if YOU don’t love it don’t wear it. Think back to when you were a kid and you played dress up, you probably had one 2 different earrings and pink and purple polka dots, but couldn’t nobody tell you nothing. NEVER lose that confidence, because that is always in fashion.

My Top 5 Halloween Costumes

Every year for Halloween I go thru this internal struggle agonizing about what I want to be. I am always debating on whether I want to go with something that is sexy, or something that is scary or something that is unique and funny. I usually always go with sexy because as Mean Girls so brilliantly put it, in girl world Halloween is just an excuse to dress like sluts and get away with it. I don’t have plans to go anywhere this year, me and Chana are just going to hand out candy at the house, but if I did do something these would be my choices.(in no particular order)

1.
because I saw a very cool Michelle Obama Wig.

2.
because I Can do Bad All by Myself was one of my favorite movies this year, bible.

3.
becasue I have always wanted to go to Octoberfest, and every October I get upset that i can't go.

4.
because Twilight was my other favorite movie this year but Bella isn't as fun and this girl here.

5.
becasue who doesn't wanna wear this?

Fall Fashion 101...Tunics

I love fall. It’s my favorite time for fashion. I love sweaters and boots and light jackets. I love fall colors and I love the general cozy feeling I get every year the weather changes. Anyway this all brings me back to my list of fall must haves. Number 2 on that list is the tunic/printed dress.

Now I know this isn’t a new trend, but I never really liked it until now. I can’t even remember why I hated them so much, but this year they seem to be all I can think about. When you are talking about colorful tunic dresses, one name is bound to come up sooner or later and that name is Anna Sui.

She has mastered the art of this playful and flirty style and luckily for us budget beauties she currently has a line in Target.
Anna Sui for target has taken the same ideas of her ready to wear line and made it more accessible for woman like us. Here is some of what the line looks like

Very close right. Anyway these are just the styles that I will be rocking this fall. I love fashion, but I wear what I like, not what magazine editors tell me to like. Sometimes it’s the same and sometimes it’s different but that’s the beauty of fashion everyone should have their own voice.

Oh I almost forgot, here's a pic of the designer

Peace
So much love

Look what I FOund!!!

Charlotte Russe 34.99 plus my New 40% discount. I saw a nice one at Macy's for 59.99 but I don't work there and 34.99 sounds a lot better for my budget. So Pumped!

Fall Fashion 101

Ok so i have kind of been on a roll today, but this will be my last post of the night. I wanted to quick fall fashion update. This isn't everything but its a great first start. Now I am a firm believer in dressing how you feel and in what makes you feel comfortable. I am a fashionista on a bugdet so I know you don't have to spend a millon bucks but you should always look like you did. My fall must haves don't always match up with whats trendy right now, but I like to think that I have a pretty good sense of style.

Number one thing to remember for fall, is layers! I love layers all year round, but fall is the best time to show them off. It's not too hot, or too cold, so you don't have to cover it all with a big sweater or jacket just to stay warm. Here is a look from my favorite desginers right now Dean and Dan Caten, DSquared.

I think this will be my signature look for the fall. Its so cozy. Heres another example with a killer brown leather jacket. I must have one. I probably won't be this one but I will have a brown leather jacket before spring time.. mark my words muahahahahahaha!

Incase you were also wondering. Here is a picture of the designers and you can see the rest of there collection on style.com. just click on fashion shows, all shows fall rtw 2009 scroll till you see DSquared!

So to recap. You don't need a lot of money to have a great style. Check out stores like Forever 21, H&M, Rue 21, and pretty much anything else in the mall, for great prices on cardigans blazers button downs scarves and other great layering pieces. Also Old Navy and Wal-Mart have great plain T-shirts and under shirts to wear underneath. Get creative!
Peace
So much love
